Role: My primary responsibility was modeling the buildings behind Sam in the skydiving shot. I had done several set replacements prior to this project, however this was a unique approach at the time. Because the camera and action were so close to the background buildings, we knew couldn’t use 2D textures for the interiors of the rooms as the lack of parallax would kill the look. So I modeled the rooms in the building individually and arranged a myraid of household objects wishin them using Maya’s MASH system. We then converted each of those rooms into a Vray proxy which were then randomly scattered throughout the various windows.
