Mushin
My aim was to construct a beacon of my own focus- devoid of distractions or thought. The name Mushin is borrowed from a Zen Buddhist concept of no-mindedness that represents the ceasing or severance of thought. And while I am by no means a Zen master, I sought to employ this concept in a creative capacity.
This piece came one rule. If i found my mind being to drift, then I would put the stylus down and conclude the session. Some sessions only lasted minutes, while others lasted hours. Like most things, the more I worked, the less resistance I met. Bit by bit he revealed himself, on a schedule entirely his own.
